I sang a song
Once they sang the song
For all I know I belong,
In this tune of unbroken harmony
From precussions to stings it was like matramony

Do I hold the truth
Shall I tell the world of what I know
He told me to spread with my tongue the words of His own

Was I once a slave
held by the chains of sadness and insecurity
Or was I the slave that said my chains shined more
I held on to the name I had for that was all I could possess
Did I profess to the world what I knew?

From the orphans that stay with it to the children that can't get with it
I will share to the world what I know

No not to bare the wounds
for I would be burdened by the thoughts
